I know I usually start my blog posts with some kind of life update or personal story, but the truth is, I’ve just been working a lot lately! After spending six weeks in Mexico this summer, I sent Lennon back to school and I am fully embracing my dedicated work time again! 👩🏻💻 I’ve been in full swing with branding projects. This month, I’ve been designing brand identities for two consulting businesses, a transportation business, and a logo design for a pharmacy. I love the diversity of industries I get to design for! But even more than that, I love having the opportunity to work with the amazing people behind these brands! 💗 From one late evening co-working sesh 👦🏻📝👩🏻💻 In addition to the branding projects I’ve been working on, I’ve also been making time for professional development. I attended Brendon Burchard’s coaching summit in Austin and participated in my regular coaching calls. It can be tempting to stay in a production mindset but your business won’t grow if you don’t grow — I learned that lesson the hard way. 😅 On a recent virtual coaching call, I was asked this question: “What is one unique problem you solve for your customers?” Instead of replying with a very predictable answer, like: “I help them stand out in crowded markets with professional branding.” (which I do!) or “I help them drive traffic and sales with branding that inspires trust.” (which I also do!) I said: I talked about confidence because most of my clients come to me when they don’t love their branding but they don’t know how to make it better. Because of that, they play small — even though they know what they have to offer is really good. After working with me, they have the confidence to put themselves out there and even charge premium prices! And I’m not just saying that. Here’s proof from one of my past clients: When you’re confident, you’re more likely to move toward other people and opportunities. You’re more ready to take action. You charge more for your work. That’s why investing in yourself is the best business plan (currently writing that on a sticky note 📝).
And speaking of confidence, I got a HUGE boost of confidence this month when I found out that our logo work has been featured in LogoLounge Book 14. 🤗 This is our second year submitting work and our second year winning a spot among over 30,000 logos submitted! Do you want to join me in a little mid-day happy dance? 👯♂️👯♂️ If you’re ready for a new brand or a rebrand, I would LOVE to hear from you! I am currently booking for October, which is just around the corner… can you believe it? 🙊 I sure can’t!
