Why I chose “fail” as my word of the year

At the time I’m publishing this blog post, we’re 20 days into the new year but I feel like I'm just getting started! In between spending a few weeks in Mexico during the holidays and just coming back from a business conference, I have taken my time to be fully ready for 2024. 

​I’m fortunate to be starting the year with a few really exciting projects! I'm working on a website for a leadership consulting business and another website for a pharmacy this month. I have the feeling that 2024 will be the year of websites because I'm having so much fun designing them!  🤗

But before I get back to pushing pixels, I wanted to share my word of the year with you! I like this (instead of resolutions) because it gives me a specific area to focus my growth without boxing me in. I can apply my chosen word to different situations and grow in so many different ways!

​For 2024, I’ve chosen “FAIL” as my word of the year.

This might sound funny, but I am so ready to fail. I think I have been playing a little too safe and I'm ready to try new things! 🙌🏼

I want to test new ideas and the only way to do that is to put myself in a situation where failure is likely. 🙈 So I hope you'll cheer me on as I fail and fail and fail again! 🎉
