My birthday was on Monday and I've been meaning to make this post since then. I don't know about you, but I get very emotional on my birthday. 🥲 Especially after losing my dad. 💔 Celebrating one more year being alive feels more meaningful. I remember my dad being calm and hopeful that I will figure things out after finding myself unemployed once again in 2020, around the same time he passed away. I know he's proud of me for how far I've come in my career as a business owner and a single mom. But it makes me sad that he's not here… physically here. On my birthday, I sat down to reflect on the things I've learned so far.
