My Brit + Co’s Selfmade review
I had just been employed for a little over a year after being laid off from my decade-long corporate job when the pandemic hit and was left without a job again. 2020, the year that was a fog for most was the year I decided to take a leap of faith and believe in myself. Life doesn't happen to you, it happens for you. This is one of my favorite Tony Robbin's quotes that I took to heart. Instead of feeling sorry for myself for finding myself unemployed again I decided to take control of my life by seeing it as an opportunity to go full-time in my business. But I knew I needed help. I had been trying to grow my business by myself and was not having enough traction to make my dream a reality of becoming fully self-employed. I had just enrolled in a group program in the Fall to help move my business forward when I learned about Brit Morin's Selfmade entrepreneurial program. I was catching up with my friend and client, Lia Ballentine, founder of Yumday and she was raving about this amazing program she was taking being led by Brit Morin, founder and CEO of Brit + Co (If you don't know who Brit is, you can learn about her here). I could see her business flourishing and taking such a smart pivot. Her enthusiasm for the clarity she had gained for taking her business from small idea to a bigger vision was so inspiring. Lia was crediting her growth and drive thanks to Selfmade and she encouraged me to join the next cohort in the Spring of 2021. |
