This summer absolutely FLEW by. Lennon and I recently returned from our six-week trip to Mexico. It was so nice to be able to spend time with my mom and eat my favorite tacos al pastor 🌮 from the stand across the street from my mom's house... a few (many) times. But now I’m back and going for the gold in five of my favorite “sports” — (can you tell I am still a little Olympics obsessed? 😆) Regarding that last sport… I’ve been lucky to work on some great client branding projects lately and one thing I’ve been thinking a lot about is font choice! Fonts are SUCH an integral part of every brand identity project I work on, and it’s so much more than just picking one or two fonts that look nice together. For example, did you know choosing the right fonts can lead to more revenue? It’s true! Here are a few “fun font facts” I collected to share with you: 👉🏼 Using consistent fonts can increase your revenue by up to 33% Who doesn’t want to make more money? And if you can do it passively, even better. The reason font choice impacts revenue has to do with brand recognition. When you use the same fonts consistently across your brand, you can increase your brand recognition by up to 80% which builds trust… and people spend money with brands they trust. 👉🏼 Around 70% of Fortune 500 companies use sans-serif fonts in their logos. Sans-serif fonts don’t have the little “feet” that serif fonts have. They’re more rounded and modern. One reason they’re a good choice for logos (and for brand usage in general) is they’re easier to read on smartphones and other small screens. When people can easily read your logo and content, they are more likely to invest in your products or services! I hope you found these font facts as interesting as I did. 😊 If you have any questions about fonts or want me to give you feedback on the fonts you’re using for your brand, drop a comment below!
